Yoga Therapy is an integrative mind-body-soul approach to empower individuals to shift and progress towards improved physical, mental, and social well-being through the ancient teachings of Yoga. It is to understand health and well-being as a dynamic continuum of human nature and not a mere state.
Using the teachings of Yoga, each therapy session is private and focused to the individual to help align their needs for a specific health condition such as back and neck pain, long-covid recovery, stress, support mental health, anxiety, sleep problems, respiratory problems.
As the therapist, I work with compassion and understanding to implement a personalised, complementary yoga practice to empower and support the individual to progress towards better health and well-being, this can be yoga asana (poses), pranayama (breathwork), mantra (affirmation), meditation, mudra (hand gestures stimulating different parts of the body and mood).
Yoga Therapy can assist to:
